Assistant Accounts Manager

Responsibilities
 

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Generate periodic financial reports for management review and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the finance team and department heads.
  • Monitor budget performance and variance analysis, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.
  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely collections.
  • General Ledger Management:
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other accounts on a regular basis.
  • Tax Compliance:
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax.
  • Stay updated on tax regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and requirements.
  • Internal Controls:
  • Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
  • Conduct periodic audits and reviews to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Financial Analysis:
  • Conduct financial analysis and performance metrics to assess profitability, liquidity, and solvency.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial data and trends.
  • Audit Support:
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits and reviews.
  • Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation to support audit inquiries.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment to achieve departmental goals.
