Description:
The Assistant Manager Accounts plays a pivotal role in managing the financial activities of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in accounting operations. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Generate periodic financial reports for management review and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the finance team and department heads.
- Monitor budget performance and variance analysis, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely collections.
- General Ledger Management:
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other accounts on a regular basis.
- Tax Compliance:
- Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax.
- Stay updated on tax regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and requirements.
- Internal Controls:
- Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Conduct periodic audits and reviews to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis and performance metrics to assess profitability, liquidity, and solvency.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial data and trends.
- Audit Support:
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits and reviews.
- Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation to support audit inquiries.
