Borders General Manager

 

Description:

The role of Borders General Manager – (Location: Qatar), is a key role to support our growth and the smooth delivery of services to the Qatar government, who have been a customer for a number of years and collaborate with the Sales and Business development team to extend the service to other government agencies involved in Borders domain.

What You Will Do

The key responsibilities of the individual will include:

  • Development of strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Management of the financial P&L of the business we have with Qatar government and driving business growth, working with the Account Manager and the Business Development Manager.
  • Accountability for both the successful delivery of customer projects and the operational service we provide to Qatar government, working closely with our global delivery and operations teams.
  • Leadership of the Qatar based teams that provide services to Qatar Government.
  • Positioning SITA as a thought leader and innovator in border management with the customer, and ultimately their partner of choice.
  • Identification of new business opportunities in collaboration with Sales and Business Development
  • Organization of customer co-innovation workshops with different internal stakeholders
  • Providing support, as required, to other customer engagements in the region and globally sometimes.

Qualifications

Who you are

  • The individual should ideally have the following professional competency and experience:

Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In a Related Role.

  • Need to be security cleared by Qatar Government.
  • Good understanding in Border Management is desired, Seamless traveler journey, digital pre-clearance, integrated borders, identity management, advanced risk assessment
  • Good understanding of end-to-end passenger journeys and solutions related to border crossing, Travel Authorization (eVisa, ETA), Biometrics, API, PNR, iAPI, Border Control, ABA Gates/ Kiosks, Risk assessment engines, watchlists systems
  • Knowledge of industry stakeholder role such as ICAO, IATA, United Nations, Interpol, US CBP, IOM, OSCE, EU Directives, IBMATA, etc.
  • Educational Background in Engineering, IT, Telecom, finance, or equivalent business experience
  • Selling to governments
  • Welling to travel
  • Very strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Track record of achieving business growth.
  • Bilingual in Arabic and English (native or fluent in both languages)
  • Strong communications skills and ability to interact with C-Level executives (internal & external) to clearly articulate and negotiate complex and high value business propositions.
  • Understand financial acumen, link and articulate T&Cs impacts to financial results and vice versa
  • Very good knowledge of project management and service operations.
  • Experience of working in a matrix environment, liaising with different teams to drive overall business success.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and drive our strategic objectives.
