Description:
The Cargo Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of goods within a transportation or logistics company. Key Responsibilities
- Cargo Handling: Supervise the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper handling techniques and adherence to safety protocols. Coordinate with warehouse staff and cargo handlers to streamline operations and minimize delays.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and track the movement of cargo in and out of the facility. Implement inventory control procedures to prevent loss or damage and maintain accurate records of stock levels.
- Transportation Logistics: Coordinate the transportation of cargo via various modes including air, sea, road, or rail. Work closely with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to arrange shipments, optimize routes, and minimize transportation costs.
