Description:
As the Data Engineer, you will be responsible for managing our data infrastructure, designing, and implementing ETL pipelines, developing data models, and delivering actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, architect data solutions, and create interactive BI reports and dashboards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defining requirements, identifying solutions and ensure the backlog and roadmap are aligned to business objectives and deliverables
- Build, design and implement data architecture and ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, SQL, and Python.
- Develop and maintain robust data using Azure Analysis Services, Semantic Layer (with tools like Denondo or AtScale) to support advanced analytics and reporting requirements.
- Create and maintain a semantic layer to facilitate self-service BI and ad-hoc analysis.
- Develop interactive BI reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Looker, and Google Analytics.
- Utilize SQL query optimization techniques to improve performance and efficiency.
- Implement and manage APIs for seamless integration with external systems and data sources.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements for data projects and initiatives.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all systems and processes.
Job Experience and Requirements:
- Preferably, 5 to 8 years of work experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- English languagefluency; Arabic and other languageskills extremely valuable.
- Experience coordinating teams of stakeholders across locations and disciplines.
- Experience with wrangling (1) the tools like Conviva and their Session Source Data (2) CRM Transaction Level Data and (3) GA4 Data will be an added advantage.
- Experienced in working at fast-paced startups and familiar with the volatility of OTT, e-commerce or Telecom Data.
- Experience or Exposure to DevOps and Data Governance practices.
- Extensive experience with Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, SQL, Python, ETL pipeline development, Semantic Layer Development
- Hands-on experience with BI reporting tools such as Power BI, Looker, and Google Analytics.
- Candidate with less than 5 years with exceptional and demonstrated performance are also welcomed.
