Electrical Superintendent

 

Description:

we are looking for an Electrical Superintendent (client-side role) to come work for our client, a reputable oil & gas operating company in Qatar. This is a 3-year initial contract assignment (with possibility to extend), based onshore in Qatar. Day rate, allowances, visa, medical insurance, and annual flights covered.

This role will be responsible in providing front line safety and technical leadership, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient execution of Electrical installation activities in accordance with the project schedule and compliance to safety, quality and technical policies procedures and standards.

Qualified candidates must have:
– Bachelor of Engineering in relevant discipline and/or recognised industry trade qualifications e.g., NVQ/City& Guilds, Valid certifications issued by Internationally Recognized bodies
– More than (10) years proven experience within EPC and/or Client organization.
– Minimum of 15 years field supervisory experience in Electrical discipline.
– Demonstrates sound written and verbal communication skills.
– Demonstrate extensive experience of electrical construction installation hook up, pre-commissioning methods and ways of working preferably in a major LNG Project.
– Ability to translate design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, specific to onshore LNG facilities and utility systems.
–  Electrical equipment and systems experience (HV/MV/LV electrical systems, transformers, switchgear, power management systems, electrical system controls for reactive and active power sharing, power distribution control, large Motors, 40MW+) and familiarity with relevant installation construction processes and relevant industry codes
