Role and Responsibilities
- Buying and selling Equities (US Market) on behalf of the bank
- Regularly monitoring portfolios to ensure that they are compliant with the bank’s policy
- Regular monitoring of market trends to identify patterns
- Conduct Financial, Fundamental and Technical analysis
- Develop strategies for making lucrative investments
- Conduct regular Market and Economic analyses to improve trading strategies
- Keeping up-to-date information on changes in the financial markets and their impact on the Equity market
- Recording and reporting each day’s profit and loss
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Management or related stream
- 5 – 7 Years of proven experience trading in US Equity portfolio
- Comfortable working on timing in line with US Equity market timings
- Understanding of currencies, and strong quantitative proficiency
- Strong MS Excel experience is preferred
- Ability to work under pressure, analytical and communication skills
- Superb organizational skills
- Accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail in aspects of work product
- A resourceful self-starter, able to work autonomously and as team player
- Able to multitask efficiently and effectively

- Analytical skills: Analyze the market to identify investment opportunities.
- Attention to detail: Monitor stocks closely to watch for trends.
- Research skills: Research daily on equity trends, US Financial & Economic News, World Economic news
- Organization: Equity traders keep large amounts of data and client information separate and organized.
- Communication skills: Communicating regularly with Internal (within the bank) and External stakeholders (brokerage house) to maintain effective execution of a trade
