Description:
Finance Manager will be responsible for successfully running the day-to-day financial operations and supporting the CFO in in smooth functioning of the complete management of the Financial Operations. This is a highly sensitive & responsible role that requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the global financial principles and practices, as well as the ability to communicate complex financial information to various stakeholders.
- Ensuring the business operates and maintains appropriate and effective set of controls.
- Ensuring overall integrity of the accounting ledgers through establishment of controls
- Managing and controlling external party relationships - bank, tax advisers, auditors
- Provision of Financial Accounting advice and support to business on control issues
- Ensuring the month end timetable and lead the month end close process.
- Leading the half year and year end close process - ensuring preparation for full final audit
- Leading the Transfer Pricing requirements on an annual basis as required by regulations.
- Ensuring Transfer Pricing (or other business requirements) are known and followed by the business.
- Ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Ensuring all reconciliations of general ledgers are completed.
- Leading the financial accounting for Fixed Assets
- Ensuring the cash resources are available to meet the business commitments through effective cash management.
- Ensure compliance with requirements of external stakeholders, including tax, auditors, banks.
- Managing and completion of Project Accounting requirements, including CFRs
- Ensure applicable financial controls are maintained and followed.
- Leading and management of the timely and accurate completion of stat reporting
- Leasing the training and development of employees and ensure responsibilities discharged in professional manner.
- Undertaking additional activities to support all stakeholders.
- Leading the training, coaching and support of the business
- Lead in the preparation of the Business Plans including baseline assumptions and risks & Opps- pulling together full IBP models and proposal to CFO.
- Providing Financial input and challenge to the business
- Identifying opportunities for improvement, e.g., driving affordability and sleeker business proposals
- Support the business in ensuring all financial and operational targets are achieved.
- Ensure all bids and business models are subject to financial V&V, challenge and perspective.
- Inspire and develop the team.
- Acting as a business partner to all functions at all levels
- Owner of P/E tracking and risk reporting
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles
- Strong knowledge of financial principles and practices
- Proficiency in financial software & tools as Excel, QuickBooks & ERP tools
- Proficient in financial software and systems including internal system installed ZOHO with advanced knowledge of Excel and financial modelling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data into financial reports.
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong sense of accuracy and precision
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of aerospace and defence sector is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
