Group Procurement Manager

Description:

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
- Oversee the procurement process for all departments, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of procurement professionals across the group.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Ensure procurement activities are compliant with company policies, local regulations, and industry best practices.
- Monitor supplier performance, resolve any issues, and build strong, long-lasting relationships with key suppliers.
- Analyze market trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend strategies to optimize procurement spend.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and logistics, to ensure seamless supply chain management.
- Review and approve procurement contracts and documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Generate regular procurement reports for senior management, providing insights on trends, issues, and opportunities.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial procurement role within Qatar, ideally in an FMCG environment.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
- In-depth knowledge of the local and international FMCG supply markets.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS/ CPP) are a plus.
