Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Preparation of the Annual Report.
- Responsible for overseeing and managing quarterly earnings and conference calls.
- Facilitates financial analyst meetings, which may include creating and reviewing the agenda, suggesting and setting the format and dates of the meetings, and fielding questions that may arise before, during, and after the meeting.
- Develop a robust investor relations strategy and framework.
- Create and manage a strong reputation by demonstrating consistent and clear communication between internal and external parties.
- Develop investor confidence and belief in the company’s vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value.
- Manage equity research and investor relationships. Serve as the primary point of contact for the investment community (investors, analysts, exchange representatives, etc.), maintain a database of interactions, and convey feedback to management.
- Provide insights on market activity and present them to the leadership team.
- Analyze and present financial trends, competitor behavior, shareholder issues, and anything else that could impact the business.
- Ensure compliance with reporting laws that regulate the financial industry. Work with legal counsel to ensure compliance on regulatory matters.

- Track and analyze shareholder base and investment trends for the company, its peers, and its competitors to inform investor targeting strategy and monitor the impact of strategy over time.
- Work with legal counsel to ensure compliance on regulatory matters.
- Partner with legal and corporate communications to ensure all external communications are accurate, consistent with corporate messaging, and aligned with securities regulations.
- Identify networking and other opportunities for investors for the purpose of creating new initiatives.
- Develop and manage the annual investor relations budget.
- Maintain an investor relations section on the MEEZA company website to include information such as stock prices, recent financial reports, and press releases.
- Direct crisis management by minimizing threats to the company and its shareholders.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- An MBA or FMVA certification is an asset.
- 15 or more years of experience dealing with investors and a strong track record of creating positive relations with the investor community and Equity Research Analysts.
- Strong understanding of QSE & QFMA laws and securities disclosure requirements, as well as filing requirements.
- Vocational certification such as Certified Practitioner of Investor Relations (CPIR)/ Certificate in IR (CIR/CIRO) or similar would be an advantage.
- Excellent English is written and verbal communication skills with a specific focus on technical and operational documentation.
