Head Of Mechanical Engineering

We are looking for a Head of Mechanical Engineering for one our clients in Qatar. You will be responsible for overseeing mechanical engineering activities in NFW Onshore Project, for packages, ensuring all technical requirements are in full compliance with project requirements and standardized processes and are delivered to the highest technical quality standards. You will provide clear guidance to the FEED contractor, sub-contractors and vendors and facilitate resolution of mechanical technical issues, to complete mechanical engineering activities to meet project objectives and milestones. You will also provide ad hoc field engineering assistance during start-up and early operation phases.

Location: Qatar

This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in Mechanical Engineering, preferably in a major LNG Project. Broad knowledge of engineering execution, including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, onshore LNG facilities and utility systems design, construction and operations.
• Demonstrated broad static mechanical equipment and systems experience.
• Proficient in English language.
• Strong organisational, planning and coordination skills.
• Strong technical, prioritisation and management skills.
• Strong communication and team working skills.
• Good communication, influencing and interface skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.
