Instrument Technicians

Description:

Qualification: Diploma or Graduate Degree or equivalent HNC in Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering. Preferred: Compex certified, H2S/BA and Opito/T-Bosiet certified in past.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in Operation and maintenance of Field instrumentation at large Oil production process facility at Offshore with repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, Calibration of equipment at field and workshop. Should have hands on experience in O&M of LV Electrical, Electrical SLD and P&ID Review, Schematics, Cabling, Connections, Circuit studies, Field instrumentation, Control valves, PRV, SV, Flow, Pressure, DP, Temperature, Level transmitters, loop checks, Hook up and testing.
Should have hands-on experience with Multimeters, Insulation resistance tester, Cable testers, Druck, Fluke, Megger, ABB, Siemens, Emerson, E+H, P+F, Budenberg, Agilent, Hart, Fisher, Rosemount, Yokogawa, Honeywell etc. make calibrators. He should have ability to develop the Repair / maintenance plans, procedures, MS, JSA for any breakdown, shutdown and outage situations.
Desirable: Should be aware of basics of Control Logics, Programming of DCS, PLC, ESD, Fire & Gas systems and Basic Electrical Engineering, FOC splicing, Lighting, Cables. Qatar MMUPD Grade A/B and MENA driving License is a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• To Serve as the technical team member to carry out the daily activities and reporting to Foreman/Supervisor.
• To Prepare and submit the repair, maintenance and testing procedures, method statements.
• To be Responsible to perform testing, repair and maintenance work in a safe and efficient manner to meet the quality, cost, safety and schedule targets.
• To Ensure proper Handling, inspection, testing, storing and housekeeping of the Assets, test equipment and tools.
• To Prepare required Estimate, BOQ, timely follow up and reporting to Seniors for any shortage/damage/replacement etc.
• To advise future inventory with respect to long lead time & cost-efficient procurement.
• To Update the work progress, monitoring work performance and discussing mitigation (correction) plans in line with schedule, delivery, quality and safety.
• To take part in safety and quality audits with risks analyses, lessons learning.
• To maintain the record and updating documents such as history, manuals, datasheets and specifications etc.
• To Perform duties in absence of In-charge and Coordinate with inter-department if required.
Personal Skills: MS office. Good communication skill with people using fluent English. Experience in Offshore Oil Exploration facility, Control valves, Field Instrumentation, basic Electricals, Drawings reviews SLD, P&ID, Hookup, Schematics.
