We are currently offering two exciting career opportunities for individuals passionate about design and technology. We are seeking highly detailed individuals for the positions of Lighting Designer and ELV Smart Home Automation Specialist. These roles offer the chance to join our team of experts in lighting design and smart home technology, contributing to innovative projects in Qatar.
Responsibilities (including But Not Limited To):
For the Lighting Designer role:
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants on projects from concept phase through post-occupancy.
- Deliver and oversee design presentations, control narratives, layouts, sections, schedules, specifications, budgets, details, mock-ups, and as-built documents while navigating various production timelines.
- Model, calculate, and analyze standard and unique spaces to develop creative lighting solutions that meet varying jurisdiction code requirements.
- Implement lighting control systems into projects, review proposals from consultants/vendors, and support in commissioning of systems.
- Review and calculate code compliance of lighting systems (energy levels, controls requirements, dimming needs, etc.).
- Visit sites to survey or ensure quality of installations.
For the ELV Smart Home Automation Specialist role:
- Design, program, and test ELV systems such as KNX, Lutron, Creston, etc.
- Prepare engineering submittals, design drawings, wiring diagrams, and shop drawings.
- Possess technical knowledge of the installation of ELV & audio-visual systems including light control, AC, curtain, audio & video, access controls, etc.
- Experience with control systems & communication protocols like KNX, Lutron, Creston, BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks & IoT.
- Must be locally available in Qatar.
Qualifications:
For the Lighting Designer role:
- 2 to 3 years of experience or a graduate degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting, or other design-related field.
- Experience designing lighting solutions in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Solid foundation in the principles of light, balancing the visual poetics and the inherent technology.
- Knowledge of daylighting principles and modeling techniques is a benefit.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to hand sketch is a benefit.
- Comfortable constructing small-scale mock-ups and electrical wiring.
