Description:

Supply Chain Management: Oversee and manage the entire supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.

Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize lead times.

Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.

Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and track stock movements to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.

Implement inventory management systems and procedures to accurately forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels.

Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and identify areas for improvement.

Warehousing and Distribution: Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.

Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to maximize space utilization and minimize handling costs.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards for warehouse operations.

Transportation and Logistics: Coordinate transportation logistics, including route planning, carrier selection, and freight negotiations.Monitor transportation activities to ensure on-time delivery and minimize transit times.

Resolve transportation issues and address customer inquiries related to shipment status and delivery schedules.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards governing the storage and transportation of pharmaceutical products. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to inventory management, shipping, and handling of hazardous materials.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and transportation costs.

Analyze data and generate reports to assess logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and streamline logistics processes.

Team Leadership and Development :Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.

Foster a collaborative and customer-focused culture within the logistics team.

Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide training and development opportunities for team members.

Requirements
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, transportation regulations, and inventory management practices.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and WMS (Warehouse Management System).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interact with external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for handling pharmaceutical products, including Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
