Manager/senior Manager Sustainable Finance & Reporting

We are looking for self-driven candidates with an entrepreneurial drive wanting to focus on impact opportunities and being a part of a larger change. The candidates will be working on innovative solutions, flagship initiatives and projects in the MENA region with extensive opportunities to travel to key locations and interact with global leaders on climate change and sustainability.

Candidates must have experience on topics such as GRI based reporting, CDP, TCFD reporting for leading Banks, and Insurance companies, development, review or assurance of sustainable finance frameworks for banks or for large funds, knowhow of global ICMA / LMA/ CBI principles.. Candidates must also have consulting experience with a proven track record of winning and advising large corporate firms (FTSE 100 / Fortune 500) on strategy development and implementation of programs to drive and measure value creation.

The role will be based in any of our MENA offices and will support client engagements across the MENA region.

Your Key Responsibilities

In this role you will work as part of a wider team to support business development efforts, win project work and advise EY's clients on delivering end to end projects in the financial sector. In addition, you will contribute to the development of a market leading team that is capable of providing board level strategic advice and winning large transformation engagements that leverage the wider competencies of EY as well as raise EY's profile in the market, especially in relation to the climate change and sustainability debates.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Strong technical understanding of various ESG reporting framework (preferred frameworks GRI, CDP, TCFD, SASB, UNPRI, UNPRB, UNGC, and upcoming IFRS S1 and S2) and how to apply them to corporate sustainability reports
• Technical knowledge and experience of delivering multiple materiality concepts – impact, financial, double materiality
• Experience in undertaking gap assessment of current ESG disclosure practices, ESG policy analyses and developing roadmaps and action plans to enhance disclosure deep understanding of sustainability best practices in areas of transformation, supply chain, digitization, business model innovation and value measurement
• Prior experience in leading or delivery of sustainable finance solutions in global consulting firm or with a multinational financial institution.
• Technical understanding and working experience of origination, structuring and execution of sustainable finance transaction across Transaction Banking, Corporate Finance etc.
• Contributed to development of sustainable finance framework for Banking institutions
• Knowledge of key Sustainable Finance principles from ICMA, LMA, CBI. EU Taxonomy etc.
