An opportunity has opened up for an experienced and creative Marketing Manager for our brand new international school, which is opening in Doha in 2024.

The Marketing Manager will develop integrated digital marketing strategies to help Al Markhiya (MAR) meet its brand awareness and student recruitment goals. This individual will coordinate and develop strategies to shape interactions between the school and its stakeholder groups: first and foremost, prospective families; then friends; corporate & community partners; teachers; and staff. Through leadership of MAR’s Marketing and Communications department, this individual will create a seamless user experience for those seeking and connecting to services and assistance they need. The Marketing Manager will focus on a customer-first digital strategy on all projects, while using best practice tactics for success.

Key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Leadership of the Marketing & Communications department
  • Oversight and development of digital strategy and vision
  • Lead data-driven decisions for user experience, Web governance, and content
  • Develop and oversee governance, standards, and metrics for Web and digital work, including user experience (UX), accessibility ( WCAG 2.1 AA), digital marketing, mobile, HTML and other mass emails, CMS platform, and interactive content.
  • Utilize Search Engine Optimization ( SEO ) and Search Engine Marketing ( SEM ) tools to build Web and digital marketing programs
  • Develop and maintain the user experience and accessibility expectations and standards for the school’s websites – UI and functionality
  • Monitors Web site use, trends, and metrics
  • Establish and meet MAR’s goals, team goals, and individual goals
  • Provides leadership best practices in digital communications for internal and external audiences
  • Represent the Department in developing strong connections across the MAR campus

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Communications, or related field.
  • Experience managing digital advertising deployment and implementation.
  • Experience managing and Web site design, as well as CMS and Web site projects.
  • Experience with vendor identification and management (to include managing Requests for Proposal and Document Quotes).
  • Experience managing a team/technical staff, preferably with digital and Web marketing.
  • Experience creating and implementing digital marketing initiatives through email, social, display, and managing SEO / SEM tools.
