Physical Security Consultant

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Security Consultant to join our expanding security consultancy and training department. You will play a crucial role in safeguarding critical infrastructure and facilities by conducting thorough physical security assessments and developing comprehensive mitigation strategies. Your expertise will ensure the safety and security of our clients' assets and personnel.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct Comprehensive Physical Security Assessments:

o Perform in-depth evaluations of existing security measures, identifying vulnerabilities and potential threats.

o Analyze physical layouts, access control systems, surveillance technologies, and perimeter security measures.

o Assess risks factors associated with natural disasters, human threats, and technical failures.

· Develop Detailed Assessment Reports:

o Create standardized professional reports, articulating findings, and providing clear, actionable recommendations, outlining the findings of your assessments, including:

o Executive summaries with key findings and recommendations.

o Site descriptions with diagrams and critical asset identification.

o Threat and vulnerability analyses.

o Risk assessments with prioritized mitigation strategies.

o Implementation plans with timelines and resource requirements.

· Recommend and Implement Security Solutions:

o Propose, recommend, and design effective physical security measures to address identified vulnerabilities and mitigate risks considering policies, people, and technologies that embody the principles of prevention, detection, response, and recovery to safeguard the facilities and assets of clients.

o Provide expert guidance on the selection and implementation of security technologies, such as access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and video surveillance.

o Collaborate with clients to develop and implement comprehensive security plans and procedures.

· Stay Current on Industry Trends and Best Practices:

o Continuously update your knowledge of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.

o Maintain awareness of relevant industry standards and best practices (e.g., ISO/IEC standards, ASIS International guidelines).

· Client Relationship Management:

o Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and expert advice.

o Effectively communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
