Postdoctoral Researcher

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and experiments related to catalyst development, including catalyst design, synthesis, and characterization.
• Perform catalyst testing and optimization experiments to evaluate catalyst performance and identify the most promising catalyst formulations for sustainable aviation fuel production.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data, and prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate research findings to team members and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other team members, including chemists, engineers, and technicians, to design and execute experiments and develop innovative approaches for catalyst development.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in catalyst design, sustainable aviation fuel production, and related fields, and incorporate new knowledge into research activities.
• Maintain and manage research records, including data analysis, laboratory notebooks, and safety records, in compliance with relevant protocols and regulations.
• Participate in team meetings, research discussions, and scientific conferences to share research progress and contribute to the overall research goals of the project.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Chemistry or a related field with a strong emphasis on catalyst design and synthesis.
• Demonstrated expertise in catalyst development, characterization, and optimization, preferably related to sustainable aviation fuel production.
• Strong background in chemistry, with expertise in areas such as organometallic chemistry, heterogeneous catalysis, or materials science.
• Hands-on experience in catalyst synthesis techniques, such as wet chemistry, sol-gel, or deposition techniques.
• Proficient in catalyst characterization techniques, such as XRD, SEM, TEM, TGA, BET, and spectroscopic methods.
• Experience in catalyst testing and optimization, including kinetic analysis and data interpretation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and execute experiments independently.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present research findings to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Knowledge of sustainable aviation fuel production, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability is a plus.
