Description:
Project Operation Supervisor Shall
- Coordinate and supervise oil spillage response team during drills, exercises, and training as requested by a Qatar Energy representative.
- Coordinate and supervise oil spillage response team during oil spill incidents and standby operations.
- Coordinate with QatarEnergy representative the supervision of their daily activities at the work site.
- Provide induction to oil spillage response team related to oil spill response equipment and operation.
- Develop operational guidelines for the deployment of oil spillage response team during response operations.
- Oil spill response activities shall be available on a 24/7 basis and ready to deploy oil spillage response team as and when required by QatarEnergy Representative.
- Shall deliver safety and operational briefings during drills and operational exercises.
- Ensure that all operational activities are carried out with due regard to the safety of others and environmental considerations, in line with all QatarEnergy’s relevant policies and procedures.
- Take an active part in toolbox talks, Job Hazard Analysis, risk assessment, and any other safety duty as deemed necessary by the QatarEnergy. Shall be required to work in all BASE LOCATIONS and carry out inspections as per the client's requirement.
- To be always contactable be on call for oil spill incidents and be available 24/7 for deployment.
- Responsible for the development, day-to-day general welfare, and discipline of staff under his supervision.
- In coordination with HSE Representative, to visit all BASE LOCATIONS on a monthly basis.
Qualifications And Experience
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required are:
- Charter Boat Captain’s Credential (Master 200 GRT or less) with a sublicense or authorization to operate in Near Coastal waters (up to 200 miles offshore) with a minimum of 03 Years of experience in a similar position.
- Project Operations Supervisor shall be authorized by “Planning and Marine Transport Licensing – Minister of Transport – State of Qatar” to operate a boat with the specifications. Have a good working knowledge of a variety of vessels, their general service, and operation.
- Completed the H2S training, T-BOSIET, Basic Rigging & Slinging, and Safety Courses related to working offshore/ Onshore locations.
- Completion of Basic Safety Training (SCTW-95 A-II/4) or similar safety training.
- Experience in managing teams. Be able to communicate well with his workforce and demonstrate leadership skills.
- Have good computer skills and can write a report.
- Have at least a Diploma in Marine or Oil and Gas related disciplines, or equivalent attested by the official authorities.
- Be physically fit and able to swim and have a valid Offshore medical fitness certificate.
- Have worked in an Oil & Gas / marine-related industry and have at least five (05) years of experience and has knowledge and experience in oil spill response.
