There is support in Qatar for research from Qatar National Research Fund and industry. Faculty members may advise graduate students enrolled in degree programs at Texas A&M University.

Texas A&M University at Qatar's Mechanical Engineering Program has recently launched a high-impact research initiative that centers on smart and sustainable manufacturing. With the aim of transforming the manufacturing industry towards sustainability and digitization, the initiative brings together faculty from the main campus at College Station, Texas, and those based in Qatar to collaborate on groundbreaking research. Texas A&M at Qatar offers a competitive salary package commensurate with rank and experience. The ideal candidate should possess a doctorate degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field. The candidate should have a demonstrated scholarly record in the area of robotics and smart systems with a relevant Ph.D. dissertation and publications in reputable journals. The successful candidate is expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence, developing a viable research program, and service at the professional and institutional levels.
