Description:
We are looking for Safety Officers for one of our client's projects. Interested individuals are encouraged to read through the role's duties and responsibilities, minimum qualifications, and to answer the pre-screening questions (Failure to do so leads to automatic rejection).
Minimum Qualification
- At least 1 year as a Safety Officer in Qatar
- Available to start ASAP
- Able to transfer visa to ours
Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs within the organization.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the workplace to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports on the causes and recommendations for prevention.
- Provide safety training to employees, including orientation for new hires and ongoing safety education.
- Collaborate with department heads and managers to promote a safety-conscious culture throughout the organization.
- Review and update emergency response plans and procedures, and conduct drills to ensure readiness.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain records of safety-related incidents, training, and safety equipment inspections.
- Recommend and implement corrective actions and improvements to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct safety meetings and communicate safety information to employees and management.
- Evaluate safety equipment and personal protective gear for effectiveness and ensure their availability.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, changes in safety regulations, and emerging safety technologies.
- Coordinate with external agencies, such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), as needed.
- Participate in safety committees and engage in collaborative efforts to enhance workplace safety.
- Develop and distribute safety-related communications and materials to raise awareness.
- Assist in the procurement and maintenance of safety-related equipment and supplies.
- Conduct safety assessments of new equipment, processes, or facilities before they are introduced into the workplace.
- Analyze trends in safety data and recommend measures to reduce risk and improve safety performance.
- Provide guidance and support during emergency situations and assist in the coordination of emergency response activities.
