Sales Manager

 

Description:

Under the guidance of the CEO, the Sales Manager will be responsible for the sales department of company. This involves setting the overall strategy and objectives for the sales department in conjunction with the fitness director and CEO, and executing that strategy in order to achieve those objectives.

Once the strategy and objectives for the sales department are set, the Sales Manager will be responsible for recruitment within the department, the setting of brand standards, the implementation of policies and procedures, and the introduction of a training and development program designed to achieve the objectives of the department in line with the agreed strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities

● Responsible for the sales department of company as a whole.

● Responsible for setting the overall strategy and objectives for the sales department in conjunction with the CEO.

● Responsible for the execution of the agreed upon strategy to achieve the agreed upon objectives.

● Responsible for recruitment within the department, including the screening of applications, conducting of interviews, providing feedback after interviews and recommending candidates for roles at organization and that fit within the organizational structure.

● Responsible for the setting and upholding of brand standards within the sales department.

● Responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures within the sales department.

● Responsible for the delivery of training and development within the sales department.

● Responsible for the performance of the sales department in general. Identifying and setting goals, KPIs and targets for the department that motivates team members and sets a standard for excellence within the department where expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

● Responsible for the growth and development of the department by identifying opportunities for growth and development within the market, and proposing solutions that capitalize upon those opportunities.

● Responsible for lead generation, the conduction of facility tours and the closing of sales (public and corporate) as required in order to assist the department with the achievement of their objectives

● Responsible for the scheduling of staff within the sales department, including Membership Sales and Front of House, to ensure there is adequate staffing in place to meet the demands of the business, deliver the best service possible to customers and maximise revenue generation.

● Responsible for coordinating with other departments including Marketing, Fitness, Operations, HR, Finance, IT and Facility Management to ensure customer and staff satisfaction is maximised and issues are identified, reported and addressed at the earliest opportunity.

● Responsible for assisting other departments including Marketing, Fitness, Operations, HR, Finance, IT and Facility Management when required to maintain or improve operations within the company, or to aid in the achievement of the companies organisational objectives overall.
