Responsibilities
- Craft individualised learning journeys:
- Design, advise on and implement differentiated instruction customised to each SEND student's unique needs and strengths.
- Embrace research and innovative solutions:
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods, assistive technologies, and collaborative strategies to engage students and optimise learning.
- Engage in research and PD to best position you to support SEND learners.
- Foster a nurturing environment:
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom where all students feel valued, respected, and empowered to participate.
- Collaborate with a purpose:
- Work closely with other teachers, specialists, leadership and families to ensure seamless support, reporting, tracking and progress for each student.
- Work with all parties to identify pupils who may be unrecognised SEND.
- Celebrate every milestone:
- Advocate for your students, track their progress and celebrate their achievements, big and small.
Requirements
- Qualified teacher with experience in SEND education (UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa)
- 2+ years of experience teaching SEND
- Experience in western schools and/or western curriculum international schools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Cultural sensitivity and a spirit of adaptability
