Senior Producer

Description:

The Senior Producer will provide strong leadership in editorial and logistics, and ensures the highest production values in output, as well as compliance on reputation, taste and law. The Senior Producer is responsible for overseeing the production of all content within each programme. This includes all areas of pre and post-production as well as live production. The Senior Producer is predominantly responsible for producing children live and recorded studio programmes and special events and theatrical plays. He/She will lead the production of new and innovative programs for Baraem.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Responsible for developing and managing the production of programs, to take responsibility for the editorial content and the creative style of programmes

• To take overall responsibility for delivering the programs to budget and on time, meeting the requirements specified by Head of Jeem Programmes

• Interprets ideas in a way that shows an understanding of the artistic potential of television to deliver the editorial purpose of the programs

• Works with Head of Jeem Programmes to ensure that a production budget and logistic plan are in place for the production of the programs, identifying the requirements for staff, freelancers and resources

• Briefs all staff in the programme team and departments on all elements of the programmes including editorial, creative, presentation and style, casting

• Co-ordinates with Head of Jeem Programmes on the use of allocated staff and resources

• Takes full editorial responsibility including overseeing the Director and/or Producer in the studio, outside broadcasts or location filming with Presenters and Contributors

• Contributes to the development of innovative ideas for every year planning

• Works with Online and Multi-Media to make sure that they know about planned programmes that may be exploited to reach more of the Jeem audience online

• Makes sure that Marketing and Branding have all content and information necessary to support the promotion of Jeem programmes delivered on time.
