Description:
We are seeking a talented Rust Engineer with expertise in drone communications to join our team and play a key role in designing and implementing robust communication systems for real-time interactions between drones, docking stations, aerial traffic, ground control platforms, and other external systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement real-time video and command-and-control communication protocols for autonomous drone operations.
- Develop integrations for collision avoidance systems to enhance the safety and efficiency of drone interactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication between drones, docking stations, and ground control platforms.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of communication systems for autonomous operations.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Rust development, with a specific focus on hardware integration.
- 7+ years of experience in software/systems engineering.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
- Experience working with Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) or Ground Control Stations (GCS).
- Familiarity with WebRTC and systems languages like C and C++ is a plus.
- Proficiency in AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Ruby on Rails.
- Ability to work with at least a 4-hour overlap with California time (by 12 pm).
