Description:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Shawarma Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in preparing and cooking shawarma, managing food safety standards, and providing excellent customer service. You will be responsible for marinating, grilling, and assembling shawarma dishes while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
1. Food Preparation & Cooking:
- Marinate and prepare meats (chicken, beef, lamb, etc.) for shawarma.
- Operate and maintain the vertical rotisserie (shawarma machine).
- Slice and serve shawarma meat properly.
- Prepare sandwiches, wraps, plates, and accompaniments (hummus, tahini, garlic sauce, salads, etc.).
- Ensure food is cooked and served at the correct temperature.
2. Kitchen Hygiene & Food Safety:
- Follow health and safety regulations for food handling.
- Maintain cleanliness of cooking area, equipment, and utensils.
- Store ingredients properly and check for freshness.
- Dispose of expired or spoiled ingredients following food safety guidelines.
3. Customer Service & Order Management:
- Take customer orders and prepare food efficiently.
- Ensure timely service while maintaining quality.
- Handle customer inquiries and special requests professionally.
- Ensure portion control and consistency in taste and presentation.
4. Inventory & Supplies Management:
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
- Assist in ordering ingredients and kitchen supplies as needed.
- Minimize food waste through proper portioning and storage.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a shawarma maker or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of Middle Eastern cuisine and shawarma preparation techniques.
