Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years total experience in Shipping & Logistics.
  • Position can be filled after QP induction, in lieu of experience.

Knowledge and understanding of the Oil and Gas industry

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide various support and coordination activities in support of shipping and supply chain teams as applicable:

  • Handling logistics services procurement. To ensure prompt execution of services required for all logistics/shipping related activities.
  • Contract management (vessel owners, agents, surveyors), including vendor management, monitoring payments, and conducting follow-up overdue invoices with Vendors
  • Manage system entries and interface in SAP for all shipments and logistics related entries including periodic reporting
  • Process and file cargo documentation. To ensure early dispatch of loading instructions (trucks/containers/vessels), shipping documents enabling prompt cargo clearance and timely delivery of goods.
  • Coordinate land and sea delivery of shipments from local as well as overseas storage facilities, including scheduling, Containers/trucks/tanks supply, stuffing, producer communication, vessel nomination, ship vetting, berthing, inspection, customs documentation, etc.
  • Delivered sales vessel coordination and time-charter management including Letter of Indemnity “LOI”, voyage estimates, scheduling, and reconciliation. To fulfill delivery and contractual commitments.
  • Claims investigation and handling including demurrage and detention calculation. To ensure timely claims handling and resolution along with prompt payment follow-up.
  • Handle day-to-day trouble shooting communication with Vendors, Overseas offices (LME), Sales and other third party service providers for early resolution.
  • Manage space and capacity with Vendors to ensure allocated vessel utilization in coordination with direct Supervisors, Sales, Product planners.

Actively engage with Vendors to adhere to all contractual HSSE requirements of the Company, report incidents, assist for implementing corrective actions.
