Special Education Music Teacher

SEND International are seeking a Special Educational Music Teacher to join an amazing Specialist Autistic School based in Qatar.

All of the children who attend this school, have a diagnosis of Autism; therefore, experience of working in a school setting with Autistic children highly desirable.

Within this role, you will be required to provide daily Music lessons for pupils aged 3 to 12 years old. You must be knowledgeable in strategies proven to be effective for instructing children with Autism and be able to implement these strategies into daily Music lessons. You will also be able to adapt these lessons depending on age, understanding and ability . The class sizes range from 6 to 10 children with 2:1 ratio of students to staff.

As a minimum, you must have:
• Qualified Teacher Status or American Teaching License
• Bachelors degree in Special Education or qualifications related to Music and Special Education
• Passion to support children with Autism and have over 2 years’ experience working within Autistic
provision or specialist school with children or Adults
• Excellent communication skills
