Staff Accommodation Supervisor

 

Description:

It is the job and responsibility of the Staff Accommodation Supervisor to assist the Head of Staff Support Services in ensuring that establishments are run efficiently, any problems are quickly rectified, that standards of cleanliness and maintenance are upheld, that budgets are controlled and that all those who report to him are well trained and managed, including scheduling and facilitating periodic maintenance, repairs and renovation work. The main objective will always be to achieve quality accommodation, transportation, and medicals at cost-efficient rates.

You may be required to manage staff employed by contractors, as opposed to in-house teams, and therefore need to be able to handle rapid staff turnover and ensure all new staff are fully aware of policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
• Ensuring that accommodation is clean, well maintained and attractively presented.
• Supervision of the Staff Accommodation and Transportation Allocation.
• Supervision of Medical Services including related transportation.
• Ensuring that all aspects of the accommodation meet hygiene, health and safety regulations.
• Assist in planning the availability of accommodation and transportation for new employees.
• Assist in negotiating contracts with private entities, i.e., for accommodation, transportation, medicals, Workmen’s Compensation, and cleaning, and preparing relevant documentation needed to safeguard company’s interests.
• Assist in ensuring that new employees are provided with arrival services i.e., airport meet & greet, transportation, Welcome Kit, accommodation & transportation orientation and handover to HR for new employee processing.
• Ensuring that all relevant Company and HR policies & procedures are published in staff accommodation bulletin boards.
• Ensuring that Remote HR Administration tasks are efficiently conducted i.e., safe upkeep of employee passports, receiving & distribution of QIDs and Health Cards, provision of transportation for required Government documentation for QID processing (medicals, fingerprinting), Food Handling and Employee Clearances.

Minimum Requirements
• Arabic speaker.
• Preferably locally available.
• Must have previous supervisory experience in Housekeeping/Staff Accommodation.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
