Description:
The System Engineer will be responsible for the operations of secure and highly available Microsoft computing platforms, servers, and networks. You will assist in the design and operation of secure services in collaboration with Architecture and Engineering principles. With a focus on operational stability, robustness, resilience, availability and quality solutions, you will be managing support of the existing landscape. You will take care of maintenance, timely identification issues and troubleshooting. You plan, coordinate, and implement the various measures and contribute by actively brainstorming, looking critically, and coming up with suggestions for improvements to enhance the quality of our Modern IT workspace and hybrid operating environment.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Integrate multiple different environments into one modern AD solution
- Manage our Microsoft infrastructure to ensure a flawless business
- Manage and Administer Microsoft Azure/Office 365 tenant
- Administration of unified collaboration platform build on a hybrid Azure AD/Office 365 and on premise Active Directory including Exchange, Teams, OneDrive and supporting tools
- Work on projects to improve the on premise and hybrid Microsoft infrastructure
- Participate in major incident reviews, assisting in the identification of root cause and remediation needed to permanently restore services.
- Create documentation and SOPs for all builds and deployed solutions
- Provide afterhours support as needed for critical systems
- Automate tasks where possible
- Assist with other duties as directed by management and achieve goals set to be align with organizational goals.
Experience and Skills:
- 5+ years of proven work experience with Microsoft Technologies
- Solid and proven experience with Microsoft Azure /Office 365, Active Directory, Desktop and Server operating systems.
- Experience with Microsoft/Office 365 Security/Defender/ATP
- Experience with Virtualization (VMWare / Hyper V)
- Experience in DFS, SCCM, WSUS
- Experience with PowerShell scripting to work in AD, Automation, etc.
- Experience with Azure Cloud Management, Azure Networking, Azure backup
- Knowledge of Intune/endpoint manager and incident manager
- Provide support and document procedures on the agreed projects (exchange online, azure migration, desktop image, Intune/endpoint manager
- Create, review and update documentation
- Ensure timely and controlled deployments in production
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and good organization
Qualifications and Certifications:
- A Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Microsoft Office 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator
- Microsoft Certified Teams Support Engineer specialty will be a plus
- Microsoft Azure Architect Expert
- Microsoft Azure Administrator
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
