We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Technical Sales Manager who will strengthen our presence in Europe for our bio-solutions for plant-based meat. An exciting new position where you will get the freedom to operate and create impact by leveraging the world largest portfolio of bio-solutions which includes enzymes, microorganisms and functional proteins.

The ideal candidate has a proven commercial track record in the plant-based meat sector, brings a solid technical background in this application field and understands the market dynamics (knowledge of the private label market is a strong advantage). This role requires a strategic thinker which combines sales acumen and technical expertise to drive growth and expand our market presence across Europe.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company objectives in the plant-based meat market.
  • Technical guidance: Create value for customers by acting as a trusted technical advisor, by leveraging your expertise in plant-based food.
  • Market Expansion: Identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities for plant-based meat solutions in the European private label sector and beyond.
  • Client & Account Management: Building strong relationships with blenders, formulators, retailers, co-manufacturers and brand owners. Develop and grow the accounts.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and other internal teams to align strategies and achieve business goals.
     

Qualifications
 

  • Education: University degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Biosciences, or a related field.
  • Technical Experience: in-depth technical knowledge on plant-based meat applications and product formulations (e.g. proteins, texturizers).
  • Commercial Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the food & beverage industry with knowledge of trends and insights of the private label market.
  • Skills:
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Ability to leverage the technical knowledge to build trust with customers.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in German is an advantage.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as required across Europe for client meetings and industry events.
