Description:
Urgent requirement for a VMware NSX Engineer (Solution Architect level) on a 1 year contract in Qatar for a major IT vendor.
The VMware System Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of VMware virtualization infrastructure. This position focuses on managing vSphere virtualization platforms and leveraging NSX for network virtualization and security.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP-NV) or higher certification is required. Additional certifications such as VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP-NV), VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX-NV), or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and supporting VMware NSX solutions, preferably in a consulting or enterprise environment. Proven experience in network virtualization, software-defined networking, and network security is essential.
- Strong knowledge of VMware NSX, including its architecture, features, and components.
- In-depth understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and load balancing.
- Experience with VMware vSphere and other VMware products, such as vCenter, vRealize Suite, and NSX-T Data Center.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with network and security technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and SD-WAN.
