Welding And Painting Inspector

Description:

1. Welding and NDT Inspector:

- Shall be certified as an American Welding Society CWI, CSWIP 3.1 Certified Welding Inspector, or approved equivalent.

- Shall have a background and thorough knowledge of relevant codes such as ANSI B 31.3, 31.4 and 31.8, ASME Section V, VIII and IX, API 620 and 650, AWS D1.1, ISO 14692, required for the execution of the work.

- Where Non Destructive Testing (NDT) forms part of the work, and Inspector is required to review or ensure NDT programs and results, Inspector shall have been previously qualified and certified to a minimum ASNT Level II in the relevant method(s).

- When performing, reviewing or ensuring Non Destructive Testing in Visual Testing (VT), Magentic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Radiography Testing (RT) or Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Inspector shall be certified in the specific method(s).

- When performing, reviewing or ensuring Radiographic Testing Film Interpretation (RTFI), Inspector shall be familiar in RTFI of welds, castings, etc. - Mechanical testing and reports review related to welders / welding procedure qualifications, field Hardness /Ferrite / Positive Material Identification (PMI) testing/ Heat Treatment, etc. as relevant to the scope of procurement.

2. Painting & Coating Inspector:

- Shall demonstrate a thorough working knowledge and proven ability in selection / recommendation of painting and coating / materials required for pipelines / piping / equipment / buildings covering all types of coating systems / applications and methods.

- Shall be well versed with relevant ISO / Manufacturers Standardization Society Standard Practice (MSS SP) / NACE standards relevant to this specific field and having experience in trouble shooting and providing recommendations / solutions.

- Candidate shall have good experience in insulation / fire proofing systems inspections, based on project scope. Coating inspector shall have valid coating certifications to NACE Level II, BGAS-CSWIP Grade II or equivalent.
